There is good news and there is bad news. The good news is Jesus knows everything about us. The bad news is that Jesus knows everything about us. Yep in the same way Jesus knew everything about Nathanael he knows everything about us. He knew before your were born if your would choose to become a Christian or not. He knows when you choose to do things because you think it is the right thing to do, even though inside you mind is screaming do something else. He knows the torment you go through when you choose to shout at your parents, even though you heart is saying you love them. It’s bizarre that Jesus knows all this and I often wonder why he doesn’t let us in on the secret. But then when I look back and see the changes that have gone on in my life, and I am glad that we get to find these things out as we go along. Of course, it’s also scary that God sees right into our very hearts and minds. He knows our motives and he knows our thoughts. But to paraphrase a famous author,” there is good and bad news there too”. The bad news is, that it does matter what good things we do, we can’t make God love us any more then he already does. The good news is that it does matter what bad things we do, we can’t make God love us any less then he already does.
