So Jesus died for you. Jesus died for your teacher, Jesus died for the smelly kid at youth group, Jesus even died for the murderer you heard about on the news. Hold on a minute I can understand that Jesus would die for the small bits of selfish stuff I do so I can spend forever partying in Heaven, but what about the murderer. Why would Jesus die for a murderer? What the murderer has done is much worse then what you or I have done. Or is it? Our God is so pure and spotless that any sign of selfishness would immediately exclude us from the right to be in the same world as him, let alone the same room. There are somethings that we perhaps don’t understand about our God, and for us this might be one of them. But our understanding is limited to what we know in this world. Who are we to say that what we do compared to what a murderer does grieves our Father God less or more? Who are we to say that the excruciating pain that Jesus went through was not enough to pray for the murderer’s sins as well as ours?.
